#4 Rhoda - Valerie Harper. I know that one, too, Anon.

This game is getting too hard for this ol' brain.
#1 don't know.
#3 I recognize - that outfit is really familiar. It was in a sitcom.
#2 Miss Bo Peep. Don't know show or actress.
#5 familiar - a guess -playing Julius Ceasar? maybe not. don't know.
#6 I think that's a guy on Happy Days. He sang. Don't know his name.
What's in common -- #1, 3, and 4 are dressed as sort of gypsies, but that doesn't apply to them all. They're all in costume???
Just some musings. Gosh!

I'm swamped today and won't be able to participate in this one. #6, your thinking of Anson Williams, I thought he looked like Christopher Knight, too (Peter Brady). I don't know who it is.

Rhoda was a spin off from another sitcom (Mary Tyler Moore); maybe that's what these have in common...these shows are spinoffs from a previous successful sitcom.

Anyway, ya'll have fun with this one.
Maybe Amy can help us out! And how about some of you lurkers? I know you're out there!

I can confirm only that #1 is PPG and #4 is Rhoda.

I don't think that's Farr. I can almost hear that guy's voice for some reason.
The kid - could he be from Family Ties?
I'll stick with Williams for now on #5, but you sure could be right, Amy.
Guess we're not doing too hot on these, huh, John.

#6 Larry Manetti... Magnum P.I.
Yep! You have more than enough to tell me what these shows have in common.
Blogger John, at 5:13 PM
#1 & #2 Are female crime fighters.

#2 & #6 are detective related.

#2 #3 & #6 have a character you never meet (i.e. Charlie in Charlie's angels, You never meet the owner of the house Magnum P.I. lives in, and you never get to see Wilson next door to the house.)
You never meet Rhoda's doorman.
You're on the right track!

I don't know anything about #1 and I have no idea what #5 is.

Amy???
GFT - you're good at this!

Home Improvement had the neighbor over the fence.

I think the commonality is the "unseen" character who is a major character in the program. I just don't know if the other tow #1 & #5 have such a character.
My colleague says there is a character in Power Puff Girls, the teacher, that you see from the chest down, you never see their face.....But she isn't sure. Anyone else.
Regarding John's hint for #5, the only male friend of Venus I can think of is Cupid ...

Any tv shows then with those characters?
I KNOW WHO #5 IS
Well, sort of -- he was in
Mork & Mindy! I don't know his name though.

Amy, #6 is Larry Manetti from Magnum P.I. Remember the house that he lived in that was taken care of by Higgins? We never meet the owner, he is always in absentia. I believe we never even hear this particular character's voice like we do in the other tv shows listed.

I'm going to bed.
That's right! All these shows have a character whose face is always hidden:
1. PowerPuff Girls - Miss Bellum (the mayor's secretary)
2. Charlie's Angels - Charlie
3. Home Improvement - Wilson
4. Rhoda - "This is Carlton, your doorman"
5. Mork & Mindy - "Mork calling Orson!" Great show until Mindy married Mork.
6. Magnum, P.I. - Robin Masters (voiced by Orson Welles)

(The character in #5 is Exidor, cult leader of the Friends of Venus--a frequent guest on Mork & Mindy.
