Oh, I know one! (jumping and down with glee) -- unless he played a similar role in something else -- he's Obadiah Slope in Barchester Chronicles! I loved that miniseries! If this is the right movie, he was a bit of a villain.

Now that I think about this, he was a well-groomed reverend in Barchester Chronicles and his hair looks a little unkept here, so maybe this is from a different movie. Definitely same actor, though.
