I think that's Joe DiMagio (sp) -- and shaking his hand looks like Babe Ruth - but I don't know for sure. Could be waaay off.

This is the real Babe Ruth playing himself and shaking hands with Gary Cooper, who is playing Lou Gehrig in Pride of the Yankees.
