I think it's Reagan with Ann Sheridan in Kings' Row.

Jim remembers! Ann Sheridan was Clara Lou Sheridan from Denton, Texas. She lived to see her co-star become governor of California in 1967, but tragically died within the month.

This is probably Reagan's best film unless you're a big fan of Knute Rockne and the Gipper.

What, you didn't enjoy Bedtime for Bonzo? Just kidding. I agree that King's Row was probably the better movie.
