Right, Jim! Technically Ben Alexander wassn't on the show in 1951, but Friday's original partner, Barton Yarborough, died after filming only two episodes and I had a hard time finding a good photo. This was the earliest decent picture I could find. In 1952, ol' Joe Friday was switching partners like he was square dancing. Ben here was the fourth partner. He lasted a few years, to be replaced finally with Harry Morgan, the one everyone remembers.
