Is this The Time Tunnel with Robert Colbert and James Darren ? This is a TV show, right ? The production values don't appear to be that great.

That's right, it's The Time Tunnel, a TV show. It lasted two seasons, and the last episode was set in the far-flung future of 1978. And as for the production values, you're right, but consider: were there any '60s sci-fi TV shows noted for their production values?
