David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Steven Stills at Woodstock. They had just gotten together, and they sang "Judy Blue Eyes", one about Judy Collins.

The Woodstock symbol appears next to your questions.

Thanks, Jim!

I'm goin' down to Yasgur's farm, gonna join in a rock-and-roll band. Got to get back to the land to set my soul free.

Joni Mitchell, who wrote the songWoodstock, was supposed to appear at the Festival, but her agent persuaded her to appear on the Dick Cavett Show instead. He said that a national TV audience would be better for her career than standing around in a field with 500 fans. Actually, it was more like 500,000 fans.

Well, I guess it didn't hurt her career too badly!

In looking at the line up of acts that actually played, it becomes apparent that those featured in the film got the glory. Do we ever hear about bands like Sweetwater or Quill?

My research indicated that Graham Nash and his bassplayer, Dallas Taylor, almost didn't make it. The rear rotor of their helicopter malfunctioned, making their ride spin , so they almost crashed.
